How Much More Do Timex Watches Cost in Europe? In the UK It Depends on the Line

About a third more in both countries, but in the UK the line you buy matters. Across 134 Timex models listed on all three Amazon stores, the median model costs 33% more in the UK and 32% more in Germany than in the US at the ECB rate of 19 October 2026. Among models that cost $30 to $60 in the US, the Easy Reader and Weekender cost 69% more in the UK and the Expedition and Ironman 33% more, while Germany adds 41% to 45% to all four.
Key takeaways
- On the median model, Amazon UK is 33% and Amazon Germany 32% above Amazon US (VAT included, US prices before sales tax); without VAT both are 11% above.
- Among models that cost $30 to $60 in the US, the Easy Reader and Weekender (17 models) cost 69% more in the UK, the Expedition and Ironman (28 models) 33% more.
- In Germany the line barely matters in that range: Expedition, Ironman, Easy Reader and Weekender all sit 41% to 45% above the US.
What we compared
We track watch prices on Amazon in the US, the UK and Germany. For this piece we took every Timex in our catalog that is listed on all three stores and had a price from the past seven days on each of them: 134 models. UK and German prices were converted to US dollars at the European Central Bank reference rate of 19 October 2026 (1 euro = 1.1225 dollars, 1 pound = 1.333 dollars), the latest rate published when we pulled the prices on 20 October.
UK and German prices include VAT, US prices do not include sales tax. So we show two comparisons: the price you see, and the price with 20% (UK) and 19% (Germany) VAT taken out.
The median Timex
| UK vs US | Germany vs US | |
|---|---|---|
| Price you see | +33% | +32% |
| Without VAT | +11% | +11% |
On the median model the UK price is the same number as the US price, in pounds instead of dollars. The US was the cheapest of the three for 114 of the 134 models, the UK for 11 and Germany for 9. Without VAT the US is still the cheapest for 95 models, Germany for 20 and the UK for 19.
Same US price, different UK markup
The lines sit at different price levels, so we compared them inside one US price range, $30 to $60, where the Expedition, Ironman, Easy Reader and Weekender all have several models.
| Line | Models | UK vs US | Germany vs US |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expedition | 20 | +34% | +42% |
| Ironman | 8 | +31% | +43% |
| Easy Reader | 12 | +62% | +41% |
| Weekender | 5 | +91% | +45% |
| Expedition and Ironman | 28 | +33% | +42% |
| Easy Reader and Weekender | 17 | +69% | +44% |
In Germany the four lines are within a few points of each other. In the UK they split in two. An Expedition or an Ironman costs about the same number of pounds there as it costs dollars in the US. An Easy Reader or a Weekender costs around 27% more pounds than dollars. Ten of the 17 Easy Readers and Weekenders in this range are at least 50% more expensive on Amazon UK than on Amazon US, against 8 of the 28 Expeditions and Ironmans. Without VAT the Easy Reader and Weekender group is still 41% above the US price in the UK and 21% in Germany; the Expedition and Ironman group is 11% and 19%.
The Weekender on its own has only five models in this range, which is why the table also shows it together with the Easy Reader.
Every line
Across all price levels, with the smaller lines and the collaborations:
| Line | Models | UK vs US | Germany vs US |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expedition | 33 | +33% | +27% |
| Collaborations | 15 | +72% | +30% |
| Easy Reader | 14 | +62% | +41% |
| Ironman | 10 | +28% | +36% |
| Legacy | 8 | +29% | +15% |
| Weekender | 6 | +61% | +75% |
| Time Machines | 5 | +33% | +30% |
| Waterbury | 5 | +51% | +53% |
| Other models | 38 | +27% | +27% |
In lines with fewer than ten models a single listing moves the median a lot. The Weekender's German figure rests on six listings, two of them more than three times the US price; inside the $30 to $60 range it is +45%. The collaborations show the same UK pattern: the three Harry Potter x Weekender models cost 79% to 100% more on Amazon UK and 23% more on Amazon Germany.
Where Europe is cheaper
Twenty of the 134 models cost less in at least one of the two European countries than in the US, even with VAT included: 14 in Germany, 13 in the UK and 7 in both. Eight of them are Expeditions, and three of those are cheaper in both countries: the Expedition Camper T42571, the Expedition North Ridge TW2W16000 and the Expedition T49660. Four of the eight Legacy models are cheaper in the UK than in the US, among them both Trend Legacy Addison references. The Military MK1 automatic is 12% cheaper in Germany than in the US.

Limits of this data
These are Amazon listing prices, some from third-party sellers, and Amazon changes them often, so single models can move a lot from day to day. Our catalog covers the Timex models we have added, not every Timex. Models that were out of stock in one of the three countries, or had no price from the past seven days, are not included. Sales tax in the US depends on the state and is not included. Lines are taken from the model names, and collaborations (Harry Potter, Peanuts, NASA, Fortnite, UFC and others) form their own group even when they are built on a Weekender or an Expedition.
